Sexually Transmitted Diseases/Infections Testing

Our Health Department offers exams, counseling, testing, treatment, referrals, and prevention education about sexually transmitted diseases/infections (STDs/STIs) including, but not limited to Gonorrhea, Syphilis, Herpes, Chlamydia, Trichomoniasis, NGU, and HIV every Monday to Friday from 8 am to 3:15 pm (5:30 pm on Tuesday) for no out-of-pocket cost. Services are available by appointment. Please call 910-798-3500 to schedule your appointment.  Condoms are offered free of charge on a walk-in basis during normal business hours.

STI Express Clinic (STIX):

The STI Express Clinic is available to anyone that is sexually active and provides testing for Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, HIV, Syphilis, and Hepatitis B and C for those meeting criteria.  The STI Express Clinic is for individuals that are not experiencing symptoms of an STI but may have had a recent changed in sexual activity or a potential exposure to an STI.  Testing is performed by Registered Nurses with a referral to a provider as needed.  The STI Express Clinic is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm with extended hours on Tuesdays until 5:30 pm.  Appointments are available and walk-ins are welcome.  Testing is free and insurance is not required. 

Free STD/STI Community Testing Events:

The Health Promotion team offers free community testing for STDs, including HIV, throughout the year at various locations. These events are free and appointments are not required.
